Force Index multiplies price change by volume, then smooths the result. Large absolute readings mean a move had both size and participation. A fade from those extremes can mark exhaustion.
A thrust above zero with expanding Force Index supports a long-side breakout. A dump below zero supports the short side. Crossing back through zero after a spike is a common exhaustion read.
In a mix, use Force Index to confirm a HIGH/LOW break or an EMA cross so the entry needs volume behind the price change.
