Williams %R
Momentum oscillator from 0 to -100. Flags reversals at extremes, like stochastic.
About
Williams %R is a momentum oscillator from 0 to -100. Readings above -20 are commonly overbought. Readings below -80 are commonly oversold. It is a close cousin of stochastic.
A turn back through -80 (or -20) is often used as the trigger, rather than the first print into the extreme. Like other oscillators, it can stay pinned in a trend.
Add Williams %R to a mix as an extreme-zone filter, then require price to reclaim a moving average or a prior high/low before the entry fires.
