About
Bollinger Bands place a middle SMA and two outer bands at a set number of standard deviations. The envelope widens when volatility rises and tightens when it falls.
The %B line is where the close sits between the upper and lower bands. The squeeze line tracks band width: low values are compressed volatility, high values are expansion.
Mixes often fade a tag of the lower band in a range, or wait for a close outside the band plus a volume signal on a breakout. The bands measure stretch, not a promised reversal.
